I watched Howl’s Moving Castle for the first time in three years yesterday, and I remembered it being absolutely nothing like the book (pretty much), but I don’t remember it being SO weird. I think I was just blind sided by the art and animation (and Christian Bale’s voice acting ;D) before. Now I feel like I have to re-read the book because the movie made me feel like I was committing a crime against Diana Wynne Jones.
